Kierkegaard talks about having a faith that is restless - a faith that resists complacency and is active in the life of the believer. This is my hope for myself and the people I'm privileged to serve.

Exodus 4 - Moses' Call
preparing for sermon on May 31 and the text is Exodus 4:1-17, the continued story of Moses' call...
i wonder, does anyone have a story to share about being called by God?
could be you answered the call, could be you didn't! i'm just wondering if anyone has a story to tell [well, we all have stories to tell, but what's yours?]...
Here's the problem for me, and I suspect for many. Yes, I have had a call from God and answered it, but the story is both long and subtle. No lightening strikes, no vision of whirling wheels and six winged angels, no clearly heard voice echoing from the depths of a great cathedral. But a call just the same.
